  • What's a housing co-op?

    In co-ops, members work together to achieve what they never could alone. Purchasing a home in Boulder is expensive. While renting may be more affordable for some people, when you move, you don’t receive any equity from what you have invested into the home. A housing co-op makes home ownership more accessible, while helping people build equity. Because housing co-ops bring diverse people together, we are engaging with consultants to help the initial members to develop their own agreements, commitments, and management tools to make the house work for all. In most housing co-op, members share meals together, talk to each other, check in with each other, make decisions by consensus so that everyone's voice is heard, practice using anti-racism and anti-oppression tools, laugh and cry together, and have fun together. We hope the members of 750 North Co-op will embrace these practices and infuse them with their own flare that makes living at 750 North Co-op truly unique.

  • What is expected of 750 North Co-op members?

    • Participate in weekly house meetings

    • Complete chores (weekly), complete project-based labor (occasional), and participate in quarterly workdays and community service days

    • Pay your monthly living costs, which is used to pay for the mortgage, utilities, shared food, management, and maintenance

    • Engage in honest, nonviolent communication with each other, seeking alignment and compromise amid competing individual needs and values.

    • Contribute positively to house culture with your unique strengths and gifts

    • Commit to growth and supporting others as all members grow

  • Am I a good fit for a housing co-op?

    Since 750 North is newly forming, we're looking for people who are eager to build and develop a cooperative community with other members. There will be electric cars and electric bikes that members will co-own and will be able to use. With a commitment to reduce reliance on cars for transportation, we are looking for members who would be excited about this shared economy. While there will be space for additional bicycles, we are looking for members who would not be bringing their own car, as we are looking to limit street parking and space used for car storage.

  • Is there an income restriction to live at 750 North?

    No. We created this housing opportunity in order to have a more affordable option, but there is no official income requirement. Anyone who is interested in living in this unique opportunity is encouraged to apply.

  • Can I apply with other people?

    Yes! There are 11 shares/units available and we would welcome groups who are looking together, especially if you have experience living together in cooperative spaces (we also welcome people who don’t have co-living experiences, but are open and excited about the possibility).

  • Can I bring my pet?

    Since we are just starting to recruit members, this would be based on conversations with other members.
