Our Vision and Values
We believe that community is an essential building block for creating a cooperative, sustainable, and just world. The structures and wisdom of community are both a means and an end to meeting the needs of all people and the planet, and must be available, understood, appreciated, and developed.
We envision a housing cooperative at 750 North St. and broader community that meet these needs.
Our guiding principles for 750 North St. are shaped by those created nearly 25 years ago by the International Cooperative Alliance. We value self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, social justice, and solidarity and believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility, and caring for others.
